This past weekend was Grand Prairie’s 6th Annual Main Street Fest, which began Friday April 21st and continued through Sunday April 23rd. Each year the festival grows and draws families and individuals from not only Grand Prairie, but surrounding cities as well. Our presence in the Epic Experience tent gave us the ability to meet and personally speak with guests from all over DFW, and answer questions and introduce everyone to the project. Over the course of the three-day event, we were able to meet with thousands of people, and enter each one into our big contest, in which several winners would receive a Family 4-Pack of Annual Passes, or a Birthday Party at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark. We also had some fun giveaways such as Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark drawstring bags, color-changing cups, and beach balls that could be won with just a spin on the Epic Wheel! Over 7,000 prizes were given out over the three days of the festival!
Outside of the Epic Experience, we had a tent at the KIDZONE area of the festival, and children between the ages of three and twelve got to design their own version of our logo. Creativity flourished, and all entries were entered to win a Day Pass, as well as a shout-out on our social media channels with their artwork displayed for all to enjoy. Also in the KIDZONE, we featured a game called Pluck-A-Duck, where a floating rubber duck is chosen, and the colored dot on the bottom of the rubber duck corresponds to a particular prize, which could be a Day Pass! The kids had fun using their creativity and it was enjoyable to see our logo brought to life.
We enjoyed spreading the word about the project within Grand Central, but the best part had to be where the individual’s face would light-up when we described what is coming to Grand Prairie. We’d say “see you at next year’s Main Street Fest,” but we know we’ll see you much sooner! 🙂
